Very comfortable, very worm, the best base layer I ever had. I had a model from few years ago (also base layer 4.0) and it feels like newer model is more comfortable. Tested skiing in Colorado and it was perfect. Finally I am not cold on the slopes. My boyfriend got on the UA 4.0 base layer as well and he loves it as well.Seller, excellent with shipping. Received product way before expected date.I have two pairs of these... one is the mens version and the other the womens. I had the mens first after finding for a steal at $20. They work great!! When it's this cold I'm usually wearing them as part of a three part system. A pair of cold gear, these, then a windproof fleecy layer. They served me well but being a woman, they didn't hit in all the right place and there that whole extra pocket thing - I want pockets... just not there. I saw the women's version go on sale and jumped. They fit MUCH better. I use them the same layering wise but I swear they are just not quite as warm. Not by much. Comparing them side by side, it does appear that the men's version has a slightly heavier insulation. If I didn't know this, they would have 5 stars. I suppose ignorance is bliss. They are still very warm and very comfortable and should be a part of any outdoor ladies arsenal. To address the fit, I'm usually a 0-2, 5-3, 110 lbs. The small fits comfortably over a pair of Cold Gear leggings for me.I like these pants, and they do the job of keeping me warm. I layered them under a pair of Eddie Bauer water proof pants when I went to the zoo for Christmas lights. It was wet and snowy, but my legs stayed dry and warm. The only downside is they slightly shrank after washing and/or the stretch isn't what I like. Most of my yoga pants and leggings are from Old Navy, and I prefer their level of high-waist. These just didn't want to sit where I'm used to. But they are super soft, comfortable, and perform as expected.I'm 5'7 135lbs with a slim waist, legs (Iol) and a butt ( it's not a huge butt however it's not small) and I feel like these pants were made for me. I ordered a medium, I have yet to test them out in cold weather but I was so blown away of how well they fit I had to write a review right after I tried them on. I move around and they stay put, they are between semi loose fitting and yoga pants, not too loose and not tight but small enough to wear comfortable under pants. I see a similar body type that made a review on these pants and I agree one can feel and notice the waffled material however it is not extreme but they are not too short for me they come down just a half inch above my ankle bone which I'm sure my winter socks will make up for and along with the pant on top . Sorry if it seems a bit much but I felt iffy ordering clothes online and I'm totally amazed how well they shape me.I needed a pair of heavy-duty insulating long johns, and these came highly recommended. They definitely do the job, they are soft and cozy, and they are not as bulky as other insulated leggings. They move well with you, so you can wear these for almost any winter activity. I use them mainly for skiing, and I find that they work well under my ski pants to keep me reasonably warm. If the temperatures are extreme, you can easily add a light layer on top of these leggings for extra warmth. Based on other reviewers' comments that indicated the leggings run a bit small, I did buy a large. I would normally have purchased a medium, and that might have been okay for me. These are only a tad smallish. I think if you're on the cusp of two sizes, the best advice is to buy the larger. Bottom line: these will keep your bottom (and legs) warm in all but extremely cold temps. And they feel really comfortable. This is the #1 winter staple in my wardrobe. I walk outside every day regardless of weather (Ohio). These are warm, comfortable, not compression (I wear an XL). I wear them as leggings not as a base layer since I’m moving around outdoors and not sitting. But you could do either. Highly recommend.Took a chance on these hella pricey leggings because I knew I'd be backpacking and sleeping in the 30's. They worked well for sleeping.- Warm each night- No weird smell- Kinda short in the crotch/butt like some other reviewers said but they seemed to stretch out as I kept pulling them up- Waffle patten is visible from the outside... a little silly- 7.7oz weight by my scale, nice for lightweight backpacking- Wish they hadn't been $$$ thoughI bought these base leggings days before going on a ski / snowboarding trip to Vermont for new years. I get cold easily and temperatures were at an all time low (barely in the single digits) and these worked perfectly. They were the only thing I wore under my ski pants except for one day when I wore a thinner pair underneath because the wind chill made the temp -30. They have a fleece material on the inside which kept me warm the whole time. Size medium worked for my curvy/ athletic figure.
